The 4th of July is quickly becoming one of my favorite holidays! Getting around family, friends, good food and fireworks — nothing better! If you’re still looking for something quick, easy, delicious, and patriotic to bring to your family BBQ or trip to the lake, try these yummy pound cake churro bite kabobs with lemon glaze. A crowd pleaser to make year round!
Cruiser bikes glittered with red white and blue streamers, pinwheels, and stars. The smell of burgers drifting into the house where the ruffles potato chips are thrown into a party bowl. A giant watermelon covered in Crisco to be thrown into the lake for a game of watermelon football. This is the Fourth of July to me.
It’s official, I’m La Croix obsessed! They are a guilt free bubbly treat that always satisfies that afternoon craving for carbonation. Since the 4th of July is just around the corner I created 3 fruit infused and La Croix inspired mocktails for you to sip in style this 4th of July weekend.
This one pan pesto chicken and veggie recipe is on my weekly rotation now. It’s incredibly simple to make, clean, and it’s healthy. I love how bright and colorful this dish is– very instagramable (wink wink). Plus I get to use my frozen homemade pesto in this recipe saving me that much time and money.
For about two years I have been forgoing the expensive grocery store pesto and making my own homemade recipe straight from my garden. Each summer I grow basil, and I am always amazed at how fast it grows! I always have more than enough fresh basil to top off all of my summer meals and to make 4-5 servings of homemade pesto that I freeze and use year round!
